Mukat Group of Companies has been growing from strength to strength since 1966. The Mukat Group to which Surindra Engineering Company Ltd. also belongs, has specialized in the manufacture of Submerged Arc Welded ( SAW ) pipes in India. The group has acquired an eminent position in the field of manufacture of SAW Steel pipes in India. Till now the Mukat Group could manufacture such pipes in the range of 14" diameter and above up to 180" and in the wall thickness of 6 mm and above up to 90 mm.

With a view to further expanding the capacity to manufacture Steel pipes, the Group acquired an existing ERW Steel Pipe Plant at Baramati near Pune. This resulted in adding a whole new range of existing capacity of the Group.

Thus from now on the Mukat Group can manufacture the widest range of Steel Pipe diameters namely, 1/2" to 180" in the thickness of 1.8mm to 90mm.

Probably no other manufacturing group, even in the advanced industrialized nations, has this unique capability. The Group prides itself in this great achievement

From an annual turnover of Rs. 30 crores in the year 1990, the group has now achieved an annual turnover of over Rs.160 crores.

The Mukat Group recently diversified into manufacturing of Knitted Cotton Fabrics & Garments, Financial services, Leasing Services, International Trading & General Trading. We expected that the turnover of the Group will cross Rs. 200 crores per annum by the end of the year 2000.
