Mukat Polytechnic for women under the managementof the Mukat Education Trust.

 
The Mukat Educational Trust was established in the year 1995 under the privileged guidnace of Late Prof.Gurcharan Singh.The inspiration force behind this noble causes was the founder chairman of Mukat Group Of Companies Late Sardar Bhopinder Singh Ji and his son Sadar RajinderSingh, the chairman of the Group has always held the social causes very near to his heart.He has always believed that the benefits of economic standards, social development and generation of employment and that is why the 'Social Uplifment Programme' of Mukat Group was incorporated. President S.G.P.C has always been a guiding force of Mukat Education Trust.The trust in pursuit of its welfare objectives is presently running a Public School,Mukat Polytechnic aspires to effect the general upliftment,impart education and self confidence among the women folk.

At the inception , the Management has envisaged a modest curriculum of one basic vocational courses, with
expansion on the anvils the main thrust would be on to enable the student to find a source of livelihood that
he present day education system completely fails to impart.to this end, On-the job Training , as well as Practical through various arrangments shall be facilitated .

We,at Mukat believe tha against the punitive rancor of exploitation and servitude dealt out to women especially in rural India,self sufficiency both Economic and psychological,is the sole succor.Mukat Polytechnic
for women in imparting a source of livelihood and self confidence ,is a manifastation of this belief.

  
         Course Duration
 
   
Present curriculum envisages a schedule of 12 months at 5days a week ,3-1/2hrs a day.
  
   
            Enrollment
  
   
Maximuim of 30 Student per course would be enrolled.The idea is to impart intensive and rigorous training
to the selected few .In due course of tiem ,the institute plans to enroll more student.
  
             
           Minimum Eligibility  
   
To ensure a basic minimum standard of teaching , a minimum qualification of 10+2 has been specified ,50%
of seats shall be reserved for the candidates from backward and rural areas.
  
     
             Fees  
   
A normal fee of Rs.400/-per month will be charged,Addmission fee of Rs.500/-will be charged .Security of
Rs.500/-per student (refundable) will be recovered on addmission.
  
   
           Philosophy  
   
Even though at heart Mukat Ploytechnic for Women shall remail a welfare oriented organisation running
on a Non-Profit basis ,the organisation shall consistently strive for self-sufficiency and independence.
  
   
           Course Offered  
   

In the beginning, Mukat Polytechnic For Women would be introducing the Diploma Cource in Management
of office and Secretarial Practices to include training in the handling of :

EPBAX;
Phone;
Fax Machines;
Computers;
Typewriters;
Photostat Machine and Other Office Equipment;

Fundamental Course in Organisational behaviour -

This course would impart training to facilitate adeptness in operating in the present day envoirnment of office
automation and computerised information processing systems. Candidates will be suitable for the appointment as receptionist, telephone & fax Machine Operators, General Office Assistants etc.
